February is recognized as Black History Month, but Black history is to be celebrated 24/7, 365 days of each year.

February and March of 2023, ‘A Pixie From Kilmarnock’ was honored to produce a series featuring five gracious natives of Lancaster and Northumberland Counties via Zoom. 

With the host sounding as if speaking through a tin can, the results are presented here.

Looking beyond the history books, repeating family lore, urban legends, and looking within our own families for the warriors who conquered in spite of hardships, this first series document the struggles, challenges, and lessons of the people who made progress possible, and the reasons why we should celebrate the greatness of the heroes amongst us.
