Thomas DePriest was a former teacher of English in the Northumberland County public school system, and a retired lawyer for The Department of Energy with 43 years of experience. He is a current member of the District of Columbia Bar Association.

He attended Duke University, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree (English), and then graduated from law school from the University of Virginia, with a Doctor of Jurisprudence degree.

    Mr. DePriest was my advisor for my Salutatorian speech.
    The gist of his feedback was that my thoughts were innovative .
    Later,I wrote about Alvin Toffler’s Future Shock while I was a student at Spelman College in the ‘70s.
    Can’t wait part 2!!!
